A question for the speakers. Is there a quantitative bias within the community of policy makers that acts as a communication barrier with academics, especially those adopting a critical theory approach? Values and beliefs are at the core of this approach, and cannot be the objective version of science that is more palatable. Redefining what is meant by reliability and validity might also be needed.
